From beginnings in 1906, the name Montblanc came about in 1909, as a way of recognising their pen as the pinnacle of quality pens, as the Mont Blanc is the pinnacle of the Alps. In 1924, they introduced one of the most famous pen ranges in the world, the Meisterstuck ('masterpiece'). The height of the mountain in metres, 4810, has been engraved on their nibs since 1929. While many luxury goods companies rest mainly on their history, Montblanc continue to update their style, with highly contemporary collections and modern editions sitting alongside the classics. Many fountain pen users also know Montblanc well for the quality of their inks, the innovative bottle to help you get the last drops into your pen, and even their beautiful packaging, so the ink looks great on their desks as well as in their pens.
